INAUGURAL EVENT 2026
LIST OF EVENTS/ACTIVITIES

As part of the inaugural Crosswind Classic at Baxter County Airport, the Aviation Poker Run brings pilots together for a fun, social, and slightly competitive flying experience across the region.
The day begins with a mandatory pilot safety briefing at 8:00 AM. All participants are required to attend the full briefing to be eligible for the Poker Run—pilots who do not attend in full will be disqualified. Coffee and donuts will be provided during the briefing.
Aircraft departures will begin at 9:00 AM, kicking off a morning of scenic flying and strategic stops at participating airports.
Pilots will build their poker hands throughout the run:
Each participant receives two cards at Baxter County Airport (BPK)
Additional cards are collected at designated airports along the route
To streamline operations and prevent hot starts, pilots will taxi through a designated geofenced area at each stop to receive their card—no shutdown required
All aircraft must return to Baxter County Airport by 12:30 PM, when hands will be finalized and winners determined.
Pilots must register on the ACES Poker Run App.
Whether you're aiming for the best hand or simply enjoying the flight, the Aviation Poker Run offers a relaxed and engaging way to connect with fellow aviators while exploring the region.
